What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?
A static QR code contains the content itself (for example the web address) and cannot be changed after printing. A dynamic QR code points to a short link at bugoduft.de/qr/…; you can change the destination in your account at any time and see the scans.
Is the QR code generator really free?
Yes. Static codes are free without signing up and never expire. Dynamic codes are free with a free account – up to 25 active codes for as long as your account exists.
How large does a QR code on an air freshener need to be?
We recommend at least 2 × 2 cm, dark dots on a light background and a clear margin around the code. Our design team checks size and position free of charge before every production run.
Is any personal data stored when someone scans?
Static codes are not recorded at all. For dynamic codes we count scans anonymously by date, country and device type – no IP addresses and no cookies.
Does a QR code with a logo scan reliably?
Yes, as long as the logo covers no more than about 30 % of the area. Codes with a logo are automatically generated with the highest error correction (H).
